Strategic Assessment#

Understand Where Your Business Stands#

A half-day engagement for founders and executives who need to understand where their software business stands in the era of vibe coding — and what to do about it.

We work through your business against a structured framework: what you're actually selling, where your defensibility is real versus assumed, and where the exposure is. You leave with a written assessment and a prioritized set of moves.

Engagement: $3,500 — half-day session + written summary

What We Cover#

What you're actually selling. Not the features, not the roadmap — the actual value proposition that would survive if code became free to produce. Many software businesses discover this question is harder to answer than expected.

Where your moat is real. We evaluate your business across seven dimensions: value delivery, switching cost, compliance requirements, problem complexity, buyer profile, infrastructure layer, and proprietary data or IP. Each dimension gets an honest score.

Where the exposure is. The dimensions where you score low are the places a vibe-coding operator could replace you. The rubric makes this explicit rather than intuitive.

What to do about it. A prioritized list of moves based on your specific score profile — not generic strategic advice, but specific next actions given your assets, your buyer, and your position.

Who This Is For#

Founders and executives at software or SaaS companies who are working through what the shift in development economics means for their business. Particularly relevant if you've read our thinking on the zero-cost software shift and want to apply it directly to your situation.

Not the right fit if you're looking for market research, competitive analysis, or product roadmap work — this is a focused strategic assessment, not a broad consulting engagement.

What You Get#

  • Half-day working session (remote or in-person) to work through the framework against your specific business
  • Written assessment summarizing your scores, the reasoning behind them, and the prioritized moves
  • Honest read on where you're defensible and where you're not — no softening, no upsell agenda

If the engagement surfaces opportunities that warrant ongoing strategic support, we can discuss what that looks like. There's no obligation in either direction.
